Alexandra McGuire is a professional flutist and teacher in Northeast Ohio. She made her debut as a soloist with the Jacksonville Symphony in 2016. She also was featured as a soloist with the First Coast Wind Symphony after winning their Young Artist Competition in 2017.
Alexandra received her Master's degree in Flute Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Mary Kay Fink, Jessica Sindell, and Joshua Smith. During her undergraduate studies in flute performance and eurhythmics, she was honored as CIM's Presser Scholar. While performing with the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, her performance on piccolo was described as "controlled and pitch perfect" by ClevelandClassical.com and on flute by
CoolCleveland.com, stating “The flute solo in Daphnis is infamous for its difficulty. The CIM Orchestra’s solo flautist rose
to the occasion beautifully...”.
